here i go, i logged in, last post published Apr12 how ancient is that!
oh and hello, I AM BACK.

After many buggings for an update, where do i start?
I'll start with, my ever so fussy sister, Li is here! Yes, i've been counting down much before this. So, i've been quite the busy atm bringing her around to familiarize with the GC, she's been here once for a holiday and now she's gonna be here for a long time =) this leaves my parents home aloneee. Mum reckons strangers would be staring at em ,the old couple having lunch speculating if they have children or not.haha. Li's staying with me atm, easier to bring her around, she'll be homestaying somewhere near college.

I just got out from the cinemas with Li and Trace, watched Ice age 3. We were looking for something to pass time after dinner. Yeah all warm in the cinemas, you get out and yess, iceeeee it is. It's cold, but bearable i'd say. Li's face is almost like dry scales!

I'll be leaving GC-Msia for the holidays, one sis comes, one sis goes! It's been awhile since i've been home to that hothumidhorrendous weather and the yummiest food.

Sis and I went for a jog this eve and we saw the pinkest sunset ever, sadly no cam on hand or i'd be able to show ya =D

We spent the night before at the nightclub and brought Trace to the strip club since she hasnt been to one, so amazed by their poll upside down dancing skills wei, good workout for body toning apparently.
We just had a birthday cake cutting ceremony for her just now =)

I got daddy a fruit juicer, the exact same one as Mojo's, and sent it to his friend to take it back for him, yes daddy, I know you've been longing for one but it was too expensive at home! previously you can only make orange juice but now, you can make Carrot juice+milk for mi =) new toy Mum claims!

I'm back, after many unlimited knowledge of how to work some gadgets up to load piccies to my pc. Lets start withhhh. the very few relatives that flew here for 3 weeks :) Suprisesuprise, i thought they were heading straight to Brissy but they swing by my workplace for lunchhh.They stayed at my Uncle's place in Brisbane but ah, they manage to squeeze a few nights here with mua. As usual, Popo with her pots and pans, she never fails to cook for us everynight. oo i tell u I miss Popo's cooking thats for sure.

Summer's definitely here. its Hot and Humid. we have zero air conditioning, and i have 2 stand fans in my room and it aint enough. It's almost as bad as Msia. I must declare everyday 'a must eat Ice cream day'. Mint choc chip yum!
Beach visits are great. This is where our bikinis come to use and get our skins brown.

Dec is definitely a lotsa money going out month and money coming aint enough. Xmas presents and wedding gifts explains it.

Visited Robina town shopping centre today, and i saw this sophisticated black short dress from French Connection. I'm so in love with it. it would cost me half of my weekly pay. uhuh. I was like, I have to try it, at least if it doesnt look good then I know and will not have to think about it anymore, but noooo!

2 weeks countdown to graduation nyahnyah. and then it'll just be work,eat and sleep =) how much we dread going to college for all that practical, i'm gonna miss it for sure. Sook and I had lunch with miss grace wu and her other m'sian unimates, and she just left for home, msia home. very cepat right? right after her finals..she'll be back in feb. I'm sure you'll have loadsa fun =) gc peeps arent making their way home this end year, maybe the next! i need those cheap tics.

It's been raining heaps here, humidity levels are almost like home. bleh. stickiness=bad complexion. speaking of the weather, summer is coming soon but where is the summer bod man? over eating and late eating habits won't get me there. haha. been to 2 yogapilates class..so relaxing we can fall asleep wei.

I'm back! after many assignment due dates and work shifts. many distractions i tell ya. We've got exactly 4more weeks to go till we finish our Dip in Hospitality. One subject left, 2 days a week 2 hour sessions, one portfolio to hand up then hurray! Graduation ceremony's on the 16th of Dec at GC Convention Centre.

It's getting much warmer this days as summer is getting nearer! minus the sweeping up of the many many dried leaves at the back of our unit. Speaking of our wonderful home, our wall got sprayed with red paint on Halloween night. none of us owe $ to loan sharks so musta been some youngsters. and the thing is, we're the only unit that got sprayed. piccies later!

Grandma is coming to visittttttttt, along with an aunt of mine and two cousies =) arriving on Xmas eve. Excites. More heong pengs flowing in.mmm.

I just watched Love Guru played by Mike Myers, its stupidly funny lah. Yes i was in the whole DVD mood, i've ran out of gossipgirl season 2 eps, and with our limited stock of DVDs, it was between Zohan and Love Guru. Both was stupidlyfunny lah lets just say. it was enough to make me laugh =D

WE ARE DONE! Yesterday was the last day of F&B restaurant service.. meaning 2 days at college.how fun? not forgetting 2 days a week of unpaid placement. Yeah, we've got this big assessment on Management and then we're finished at the end of Nov!

Few Melbourne kakis will be visiting end of Sept, cant wait cant wait! I'm waiting for the mooncakes that i've been craving for.. The 5 of them are Francis,Kahkit,Matt and another two friend of theirs.more theme park visits wei.

Kay, It's been ages since my last post. We're back for our 2nd term and this time, another GC kaki is added, Thomas. He's here for his intake at the same college doing his cookery studies for a year and then hospitality the next. So pretty much, we've just been bringing him around, teaching Mr. Manja how to take diffrent busses! It's unlike him. haha. He's living just a few houses away.
JoL,Sooks n I brought him to Brissy just yesterday, as usual, MIDyear crazy sales is on.on.on. A Puma jumper is added into the collection :D as usual, we didnt have enough time to browse all the shops. EYES were going crazy. Ninewest was 50% off everything, half the shop was practically gone. Krispy Kremes is here in Pacfair! Twice to Brisbane, I see people carrying their box of Krispy Kremes like its their preciousss.

Byron Bay <3
Yama n I took a trip down to Byron Bay, its the most easterly side of the coast which took us about 1 1/2 hours drive there. between the Gcoast n Byron was nothing but Moomoos and horsies and hills, palm trees,corn. I was told that people, even students like us do farm stays, meaning volunteering to help out at the farm. Me never left QLD since i got here, never passed the borders of NSW, yet.
It's a rather hippie place. Its more laid back than the GC, how more laid back can it get right? Driving speed limit was 50 km/h. haha! We were hungry by the time we got there, Yama has been there a couple of times now, and the Seafood risotto had never left his taste buds. lol. Mission one was to hunt down the place cuz he couldn't remember where it was. Not long after hovering around the city, WE FOUND it at MOKHA Cafe.

The usual clan (Jol,Sook,Nick,Yama n I) caught a movie at the cinemas yesterday, 21. Yeah, jol and nick were having a debate on where to go what to eat what to do. you see, jol didnt wanna watch a movie but wanted to have dinner but Nick on the other hand wanted to catch a movie but no dinner. so, we went okay fine, majority wins. dinner and movie then. sensible sikit.
We went to fastapasta for dinner and caught 21 at the cinemas, it's about blackjack of course,how they count cards with genius math and ka-ching $$. asian dude in the movie's funnily cute and kate bosworth's hot!

Catch it, it's a nice one.

We've got our timetable for the next term, 5 days full. We're going live in Visions Restaurant and the Bistro :) that'll be fun.

It's time for hibernation. and i mean HIBERNATION. 2 days ago marks the early winter. It's killing my morning sleep,constantly getting up at 5am to go to the toilet.I mean its bad here in Qld, what more in Melb?
I can't take my mouth offffyouuu..Me cadbury chocolaches.. I discovered cadbury tiramisu and even cadbury fudge brownie, how wicked huh?

At least finance test 1 is off our backs, that means other overdue assignments and presentation are left to do =D

Anyhoos, Sook and I sat for IELTS just yesterday. Stupid me enrolled in the Academic module.. we were supposed to be taking the General training test. So i panicked, the lady asked me if i prepared for the academic one, i went erm..No?comparing graphs? nuh uh. There were 2 no shows, so they could fit me in the right one! :D man, 60mins for writing wasnt enough! speaking was alright, I got a male examiner, got questioned on house chores..which house chore do u dislike the most..why..and then it was who gave u advice in any situation in life?what advice?when was that. well, at least IELTS is done! :D

I think all of us wasted 30 glasses of beer that mornin. some went to the chefs, and brazilian chick Marcela downed about 2 glasses.lol. We call the Beer with a hint of raspberry cordial a Barmaid's Blush, sexy ey? Daddy's half stout+half beer would be a Black and Tan.

!$%^@#^&*^*)(!#%$#@ tonnes of work to be done at the end of our terrrrrm. yish it's piling. addition to that, with my limited knowledge on how to use Microsoft Powerpoint, being a Pc noob i am, all i know to do is use it to communicate with the wonderful people in m'sia.

I had a night work shift today, no worries this time no bruises cuts whatsoever.haha. Very Cautious. I stopped by at the Coles supermarket on the way back from work, in need of stocking up yummy fuji apples, mandarins, vegiesss. See daddy healthy right! :) Of course i did manage to grab some addictive biscuits while making my way to pay. hehe. Kayla, it's not some, its 3 boxes of it. It was on special! Just when i thought 'ahhh..what a tiring long day of class and work today..' the cute cashier went ' Hello how are you tonight?' Ooo Hello there I was thinking. haha.

We had a go at using the espresso machine during class today. We had a coffee making session the day before too. I had a little too much la i'd say. and No..after that shots of caffeine I actually fell asleep on the way home. haha. caffeine junkie. Hazelnut caffe latte and Affogato ( 1shot of espresso drowned with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream) would be my fav! What's yours? :D All of us made coffees for the chefs since we had a lil too many. Yes i forgot to announce that Sook has completed her life purpose after she made a short black for Chef James ( she named him Chef Panas). I guess thats the best u can get outta him huh since he's married and has a kid already!
We even made Liquor coffees, Irish coffee with Irish whiskey,Jamaican coffee with Tia Maria. Imagine lah, caffeine is bad enough, adding 40%alcohol to it. poof there goes our heads at 10am in the morning! haha. We've got a test on all the diffrent coffees, short black, Flat white, Macchiato, cappuccino etc. They even have Caffe D'Amore , love coffee..oolala.

Headline of the month: Phantom of the Opera. Sooks and I met up with Gracey down at Brisbane for the Phantom of the Opera live play at the Queensland's Performing Arts Centre. It was so so nice. loved it.. it was full house.well.. 3 of us was checking Raoul out. haha. It was so important that we skipped class. anyways, I'll let the piccies do the talking.

Battle of the scars.

Ohyeah, it was raining quite heavily the other day, I was planning to cycle to work la kay, instead i took the scooter and before i left the hse, i told myself, its gonna be slippery so be careful. like a hero i was turning in the road to the mall, the scooter skidded. The cars stopped for me. It was embarassing la but i guess no one could see me in that rain.haha. I quickly got up and zoom. Colleague says its battle of the scars for me. cuts n bruises on my knees, i know..soon i won't be able to count the scars lah. since then, no scooter riding in the rain for me, even using the push bike in the rain, got to be careful.

we had 2 sessions of Food&Bev today, it was Cocktail making! We made quite a few types, Caprioska, bloodyMary, Toblerone, Cosmopolitan and it goes on.. yeah, and to have a taste of all of 'em at 10am in the morn..Nice start huh? haha.

Not much of a holiday i must say. Just took a look at next week's roster. bleh. 1 off day and a few half days. Meanwhile, Harbour Town is having so many clearance sales. Nike was having some happy hour the other day. They opened a Levi's factory outlet, jeans were going for $20, jolynn sapu 4 of em today. haha. true lah, where can ya get levi's for 60ringgit at home? in need of flat boots for this winter =D I only have high heel ones..excuses. lol. a pair caught my eye the other day, the price too did. lol. I'm so relieved we're done with the supervision exam today, sitting in that room reminded us of high school once again. scaryyyy. speaking of high school, I miss it, the friends, lepaking.the nasi lemak..not the studying part though =D

Nownow, i haven't been working on those calories, I want to play Volley so baddd! I need to look for kakis.. I've been having quite heavy shifts last week and this coming weekend cuz 2 colleagues aren't around, 1's touring Europe, another in Msia.haha. We've got next week off, semester break..holiday means work. bleh.

Ohyeahhh. both uncles rented a car and this gave us a chance to wander around at IKEA =) at last we got to get some stuff, we were itching for it so much.before this we only got to stare at the catalogues. I got new sheets, a floor lamp and a bedside table. pictures later! =D We had swedish meatballs and hotdogs.. and ish, the ran out of Daim cake. yums man.

I discovered another bad habit of mine not long ago.It's called the sweetsalty sickness i have.It was between the original potato chips and the honey teddy bears. There i was watching prison break with a bag of chips, munching and munching, after all that salty chips, i itched for something sweet, those honey teddy bears. there i go..munch on 1 teddy, 2 teddies, 3..4 9..and again i swapped it for the potato chips cuz i needed something salty..and the same process goes.it's like i needed a balance of both salty and sweet.haha. you tell me how lah?!

We went out for Thai food for the birthday girl's dinner, ordered a banquet,after the appetizers, we were just too stuffed. We made the bday girl down her Rum+cola coz all of us was drinking more than she did. Yama brought sake over, yums. Once again I'm blogging from college, still waiting for the wireless to be activated..soon! We got the 20gb broadband plan, abit banyak right? We're gonna be watching movies online all day.
Speaking of movies, Step up 2 is out soon, I know it's already showing back home. 10,000 B.C. looks pretty cool too. Another version of The eye is out, featuring Jessica Alba. Jo, yama and I had Japanese steamboat, ShabuShabu yesterday, we had to wait half an hour coz they ran out of hotpots, lol. It's a tuesday and Broadbeach was pack with people. It was an 'All you can eat' steamboat so we practically fit all the food right up our necks! It was really good to have it during winter =) After that, we took a walk at the beach to let our stomachs settle down..yeah we even went on the playground swing, JoL was ready to puke. hah.

Summer oh summer, most of the days aren't so summerish at all. Oh how i love the sun.
the Roxy and Billabong Surf competition finals was last week, just down at Coolangatta, weather isn't doing any good for the waves.

We got our timetable for our next term, we have 4 days a week, lucky ey, thought it was going to be 5 days a week. gonna have to take few shots of latte to make it thru the week if it was 5.haha. We're gonna have Food&Bev subject, learning how to make cocktails and mocktails etc. We just had stock control yesterday, had to do stocktakes on all the alcohol at Visions restaurant..manymany funky flavoured ones too, they even have Cadbury liquer. Cocktails are going only for 5 dollars!

Sook's daddy and uncle will be visiting pretty soon. We've gotta new pet housemate, black furry cat, Yama calls her Cleopatra, she visits almost everyday, joL and sook are anti-cats. uh oh, GraceyLau's hubby came to visit for 10days, dropped by our new place for abit, her daddy got her a car, I want one too! I tell you they both sangat the loveydovey, Airasia makes it so convenient =D and oh, der yin baby called up asking how to make her icing for her cake, she's been baking a lot! eh darl you better let me have a taste yea =)

I'm currently at the old place, sook and I just got the place cleaned, gotta be done by this weekend, and u all know la, we busy working people during the weekends wouldnt have much time to get it done =p Thanks to Mr. Yama we got most of the heavy stuff shifted =)

We had half day class today on supervision, 2 hours of class and the other 2 hrs we had field trip to the Sheraton Mirage just down at Main Beach. The HR officer showed us around, back and front of house,all the rooms,pool bars,kitchens..huge wei. Banana cake and coffee was after,chun hey?=D It's so international, we met this guy that worked in the states,europe,studied winery..so experienced.

I've got a list of stuff to get for me new room! A dresser would be the first on the list, if not i would not have place to put my manymany clothes and barangbarang. Next on the list, a single bed frame? I still can't decide on the color theme for me room! any suggestions anyone?=D We wanna head to Ikea but its all the way up at Logan,which is kind of a distance seeing we have no car.

Ohyeah, saya dah maju, been riding our friend Nick's scooter..yes illegally. just to shift some stuff with Jol and nearby. Just as long as i don't get by aussie cops. I might take the license since I'll need to wait forever for my car P license change, seeing that i'm the youngest in the house =D It's safe riding a scooter here..definitely not back home.hah! This is the last of my things..byebye old house! Apparently it's called the haunted house of insects, all sorts we have here. The other day when Yama,Jolynn and i did some packing at the old house, we caught some hairy catterpillas on the walls and again, huge spiders.
We're yet to get an internet connection. Sook and I got some big pillows for the couch. We're gonna make some currychicken puffs and chocolate cheesecake for the owners,Yum!
I am yet to swim at the pool at our complex! =D It's been gloomy these days, where's my sunshine?!

Hey peeps we've got a new crib! =D We've been pretty busy shifting our stuff over, and doing tonnes of laundry and buying new stuff for the house. Jolynn,Sook and Nick were arguing on where the furniture should be placed. We telah merasmikan the new house with a so called family dinner, 3 of us plus Yama and Nick. Being us chefs, Jolynn made sweet and sour pork,soup and sambal prawns while Sook made Kong pou chicken. yummies i tell you. I made a brocolli dish and orange spongey cake. Sook's no.1 Aussie of the house coz bread is rice to her.haha. and ah, Yama's no.2 coz he walks barefoot when we went grocery shopping. Just a few days ago, we found big huge 8 legged creatures in our place. there were 2 in sook's and another 2 in mine. ew. I had problems sleeping as I was too terrified a spider might crawl up the wall beside me :S We're still trying to find out how did those spiders get in our place.

Grace Wu Huey Phing is here with her daddy. She'll be living on campus, moving in this Friday. how fun is it gonna beeeeeeee, we will be just a train ride awayyyy =)

Apa khabar peopleeeeeeeeee. I know it's been so so long just can't imagine.

As you guys know, I've been back in M'sia meeting relatives and buds. I have been filling my stomach with as much food cravings as possible. haha. My trip was exactly one month =) loved it but theres always not enough time. A month passed just like that, the next thing you know I missed my flight, I KNOWWWW. I Missed my flight back to GC. and yes, it sounds ridiculous to me too coz i always thought that only happens in the movies. I was all packed up ready to go, and when i reached the airport,stepped in, looked at the big huge board to double check my flight D7 2702, it said Boarding, I was thinking 'No it couldn't be!' i had on my 2pairs of eyes. I panicked and then all of us ran to the departure gates asking the lady if theres any way i could still get on, she said Nop,gotta book the next flight. Even when i heard the sound of the aeroplane,I was thinking yo myself, DID i really missed my flight? Mum and all laughed all the way back to Subang. she says good lah, she wasn't ready for me to leave yet actually, awwww *hugs* Joke of the Year i tell ya.

Anyway, I booked the next flight which was 2 days away, It costs a bomb as it was a last minute booking. haha and this time, i didn't miss it =D At least in a good way, I had an extra day to get my laptop fixed. Only found out that night, what a bummer. I flew Airasia, the seats were quite uncomfy but ah, I have no problems sleeping =D

College reopened last tuesday, its day 4 and i'm loving it. haha not really.

On our first day and we had to get this 2.5cm thick management book. Next, we had Legal compliance, uhuh, law,parliament and then we had safety, that was a goner. lol. Responbility service of Alcohol ( RSA) was interesting.

We had supervision today, all about management, that was pretty cool.

Yesterday, sook and I decided to go down to martay's office to suprise him with a birthday cake so I picked up an ever-so-rich chocolate mud cake from the cheesecake shop for our bud marty. and then we met up and take a bus down to surfers, walked to the office with the very heavy chocolatecake and started lighting up 33 candles on the cake by the stairs. we were blocking the stairway up when a few clients started walking in. by the time lit the few last candles, the wax from the other candles started dripping down the cake and the length candles were almost half.haha. make a way in the entrance of the office and there was marty with his beckham/britney no.1 hot haircut in his 'command centre', that's what he called his office coz he could see everything that was going on out there, in the middle of everything.
we couldn't sing a birthday song for him as they had clients there so we just had a chat with a piece of cake and headed off.He was asking us before blowing out the candles, tell me there's 20 candles on it.lol. He was telling us that his mum was supposed to make him a cake but was ill. at least now the birthday is complete, wouldnt be all perfect without a birthday cake would it. =D

after that sook and I dropped by a few clothing shops being typical shopaholics we are, Sook tried a really nice colourful silky summer dress at MNG barcelona. she tried on a size S but it looked kinda loose on the top and tried on a size smaller, fitted well hey, and uhuh, as we always say after trying on something 'fat lah' haha. and then we always tell ourselves,can loose weight one. she didn't get the dress.she's still thinking about it, like the wedges that u were thinking of months ago.

We had aunt Miu, Amy and Nick came down for Bak Kut Teh dinner.Amy's living up on aunt miu's floor and currently studying hairdressing at TAFE. she's from Dubai and is all into fashion! owns a sunglass shop from designers. we were also catching an ancient ANTM on tv. after that was Victoria's Secret fashion show. it was all glam and hot! they had Heidi Klum as the host of the show and Seal and Spice girls was there to sing. they had super cool and creative props! Alessandra Ambrosio from Brasil, Miranda Kerr from Aus that Nick fancies, she's so cute! and heaps more of them that i forgot their names. aunt miu was suggesting that she'll lock me up in the room with a treadmill and throw in an apple every 3 hours.haha. we were talking about all the stars and Amy and Sook are the master of all these hollywood thingies!

Summer is here sook, we gotta tone up and lose some fats! hehe maybe.

counting down 2 weeks plus and i'm hoppin on the plane for my trip back! =D so excited.

Its been ages, the connection had been flickering off and on this 2 weeks.
Holidays are hereeee. No more work placement for us, here's some pics from the royal pines.

the pastry section is the most laid back place to work but sometimes we get really busy,manymany Pax! and then theres Kalinda, we normally do breakfast buffets there.colleagues are pretty cool too. and cold larder section, where we only do cold canapes and plate ups,ham and cheese platters and seafood! and the hot production kitchen, where we dont normally do much, just chop onions and cry. how fun?! Sometimes, we gotta go down to the stores to do some shopping with our massive trolley, i went down had to get 12 diffrent boxes of frozen breadrolls and breadsticks, they have a walk in where they have 6 huge coolrooms and 2 freezer rooms, had a frostbite in there searching for them i tell ya!

There isn't much happening..sook found a job recently, now the 3 housemates are working at the same mall Harbour Town. we're already sick of the place. we'll all be like, eh, got new stuff at --- shop? Nah, same old stuff,been there already.

Jingleeeey Christmas is cominggg. decorations are up, and we still couldnt find the perfect decent tree. ran outta stock! so we decided to go without a tree, just a red floor mat and a santa stand =D and so far, one present is sitting there.

anddddd, Happy birthday to Martayyy! we went to his bbq party at his place with aunt miu. met his japanese girlfriend,natsuko and her housemates. had a good chat and it was great fun. once again, poor jojo vomited again after gazillion times coz of the alcohol.. we're gonna be giving her a nickname soon. haha.

Had 2 shifts today at fastapasta, Uhuh, sunday is overrrr. off day tmr! =D

its..quiet. without the sisters and popo. back to the same old house,with the 3 of us. We did spring cleaning once again on the day itself, everything's clean now, but the roaches are still around. on the wall..near the slippers and shoes,in the kitchen,the toilet. EVERYWHERE.

the group 6 'meeting' was nothing, we thought it was gonna be a big HOOHaa but nope, all's good. no cancelling of visas..haha. that night was good, everyone turned up for minnie's day,menu was great too =D this coming week's our last week of collegeeee.we're gonna be preping the food at visions and serving it all at the bistro, its gonna be a finger food function, cold canapes, hot canapes..interesting hey? =)

Sook and I skipped class on that thursday when we were suppose to run the Visions restaurant with one of the girls, Jiyun being chef. No one wants to go for her day coz she'd never turn up for ours and if she does, she wrecks up every single thing. TAFE called.

Me: Yes it is
Jill: This is the Tafe calling, why aren't u at class today?
Mei: (uh oh shit when we were all at the shoppin mall..) I wasnt really feelin well this morning.
Jill: Alright then, just bring ur MC in the next time. It seems that we're gonna have a meeting on this serious matter because theres only 4 students cooking for 70 people booked. and we might have to cancel the student visas.
Mei: Really?alright i will (hangs up)

After hanging up, Ju called, swearing and swearing on the phone saying how can they actually cancel our visas just coz we skipped 1 class. and we have passed all our tests and its the actually 1st thurs we missed.

uhuh, i cut my fingers again, this time both while opening a can. like damien said, i cant use force in the kitchen.haha. i wasnt using my brains! got fri and sat off. =)

my dad on the other hand, dislocated his finger,he only noticed that it went sideways after the game and fractured his ribs when he was in china for a football tournament..ulghh...poor thing.

Our sisters, my grandma and our other roommate Jolynn's family are hereee. They arrived last Sunday, they started their next following day with their shopping spree.haha.they've got 20days here. tonnes of sale are happening now, manymany tourists are here now thats coming to the end year holls. schoolies are here soon too. they said when its schoolies, its better not to go to surfers coz there will be lotsa high school students hanging around.

Having gloomy depressing weather these days, rainydrizzly, no chance for the girls to expose their skin under the ozzie rays.haha. I'm sure they'll find the time=) Sooks brought them down to surfers paradise today and on the way they stopped by at the shopping mall, yes more shopping once againnn..they caught a movie, nick tagged along. I got grandma addicted to this taiwanese show jolynn got from her friend before.

speaking of schoolies.. i found my 'breaks all gone' bike all dirty the other day after work. damnn..it must be the highschool students that had nothing better to do but threw sticky food in my helmet and sticky sauce on the seat, suprisingly it only happened after 10mnths living here and i have left my bike there sometimes ever since. tooooo much grr!

Gracie lau jie came over last 2 days, she just finished her test and wanted to bring it all out in GC. haha. we had some booze,rented some dvds and domino's! she's coming down from brisb again soon! =D

was dead tired yesterday..coz i had to wake up at 4plus in the morn for a 6am shift till 2.
came back had to help out with the last minute bbq we were gonna have that night itself. and then i had another dinner shift from 5plus to 9! =/ so so tired. cant get myself to sleep early coz i'm too used to sleepin late.

anyway after work i dashed home for the bbq.. we had jolynn and her classmates came over..Nick(sarawakian dude) he's our malaysian chef.haha. had Stephen and his brother(fun korean dudes),Panitha(girl from Thai),Yama..he's half Jap half taiwanese.he speaks both languages fluently how cool is that! =) Brian from zimbabwe(he's in love with a stripper lol) Paul ( aussie colleague of mine) HOW international hey! and we even had aunty violet,sarah and her cousin down at our backyard for MOONCAKE FESTIVAL =) we had each and everyone to light up a lantern. =) they claim its gonna give them more luck.haha.. at 1st they got the fire started and then it went off halfway, after many tries, even lighting it up with our lawn mower petrol.hahaha how sick. all just sat by the fire toasting our marshmallows.yumss. had a blast with those bunch of people.

I'm gonna miss that ss18 mooncakefestival gathering that nic mentioned to me about..=/

the Big day went okay, in fact we didn't have many customers on that night, chef peter faked some of the dockets with shitloads of orders, some people started to panic, chef said he wanted everyone to get busy bringing out all the orders. at the end of the day, we got to eat it all up.

it's been quite awhile!

sook is currently down at melb doing some visiting, I miss you! am already hardly seeing each other when we're living in the same crib, even better huh.

been busy working on school stuff preparing for the day, my turn for head chef this coming tues, getting all the recipes done and organizing things...
I AM SOooooooo NERVOUS =/
i'm no.2 after marcela had hers the other day, it went alright, was a lil messy but lucky we didnt have too many customers to handle. tyrone,sook,rafael and I were in charge of getting the main courses done, rafael did a brazilian dish 'maqueqa' (seafood prawns and fish in coconut sauce yums!) , i had to grill steaks, man it was hard! med rare med welldone bah!
practically the head chef of that day doesnt do any cooking but order others and getting everything organized..i got sook as my tournant,means she works everywhere, helping me out.

It's been so long since my last update! It's coz of the sick router we have, it disconnected us from the outside world. It's been quite awhile that the internet connection's not working. It was kinda hard as we spend most of the time on the pc everytime we're home chatting n stuff. Marty came over the other day to get the router fixed ,came on for like 5 mins and it was gone after that, getting a new router and hopefully pretty soon we're back on the comps! =D

Recently Sook n I started our work placements, I'm at the royal pines resort. Went for an interview the other day b4 i started the lady was asking me random questions like what's my fave dessert n fave national dish and stuff and obviously i couldnt answer that coz Iuvvv all of our msia's plus there were too many to choose from like duh. =)

I started my 1st day of work the other day and of all things on my 1st day i gave a bad impression by cutting my middle finger really deep.chef was hot i couldnt help it! haha am just joking! apparently i got some arteries cut and had active bleeding n stuff. The doctor said it had to get stitches but there wasnt any top skin and flesh left to stitch lol it looks like a kawah. so i got it lasered up to stop the bleeding.yuckkk. i've got a couple of injections on my finger, I AM so ready for botox! haha NOT.sook and jolynn was making fun of me coz i got my middle finger wrapped up together with my index finger. and they went 'hey mei show me ur middle finger' lol cant hey. I am so careless.

as i got the weekend off, and no one was home most of the time as sook's working and jolynn was out, mum got a folder of recipes in the comp for me. picked out marbled choc cheesecake to get done! jolynn and I went grocery shopping the other day, spent a whole hour there ooh i love groceryshopping! don't you all?=D

We chefs made spicy tomyam yesterday for dinner =) it was raining and we had to get seafood all the way down around 1.5 km walk. sook and I had a really rough time walking there as we had to walk just next to the waters with our strong umbrellas, the wind was going against us so we had to push ourselves all the way there and we were exceptionally SLOW tortoises. got the fresh prawns,cuttlefish and snapper, walked back and the wind was the opposite now,it pushed us all the way back and we were walking really fast.haha. somehow i dropped the bag, sook turned around and her umbrella went whacked, it was hilarious. but we thought about it, its a rainy day a good day to have tomyummy! maybe its worth. =D

Lame legs.i feel the pain in my right joint, feeling old. I supposed to only have 1 shift today but i had to go in for another one, notttttttt fun. friday night busy night, everyone's out, just like how it is back home, everyone's out mamaking/partaying and most of buds arent online. how i miss mamak sessions. the only food joint thats open 24hrs is Mcd's which is not much of a choice, the burgers at mcd's are extremely small i dont know why. seeing it's Aussie, the burgers should be much more bigger than Msia's. haha. and they aint got no McDeluxe here! watched knocked up yesterday, it was quite a good laugh :D

We made tiramisu and chocolate mousse the other day. We actually have to take turns to be head chef for the fine dining Visions restaurant soon. That includes designing our own menus with 4 entrees,4 main courses,4 desserts,1 petit four(cookie to go with coffee) and bread. Plus, assigning our classmates on which section they'll be working on etcetc. how hard is that! we had to even count the cost for each dish plus the ingredients. lotta computer work.

back! i've just got most of the pics. hmm well the 1st day i arrived wassss..roselyn's and sook's 18th birthday! hey sook, i still made it to celebrate your bday after all that 'planning to bake a chocolate cake for you here and curling your hair for you' thing. haha i know i still owe u that choc cake :D in the afternoon that day itself i met up with mel,yc plus nic for kopitiam! ahhh the french toasts there are wonderful i tell you. straight away after parents picked me up from the airport that morning we headed for roti canai. haha suddenly it felt so humid and all, was sweating crazily the first few days. apparently i was the only one that needed the extra fan. lol

BacKK in Aussie.

It was the 1st day of class after the holidays, it actually started 2 days ago but ah, wasn't back yet and jet lag! i had 3 wonderful seats to myself and slept most of the time in the plane and i still haven't got enough sleep :D

Class today was mind exploding, already with the cold weather, it was a whole day of draggy theory, PLAIN theory. from 9-6. we were getting our assignments done n all till our brains couldnt function anymore! 1@(!$##$~@!

I'm already missing everyone back in M'sia :'( :'(
trip seemed so short, but yeah it was great. having to meet the familiar faces all again!

the rain has made the days colder here...brrrr. i went for a jog today and i got a runny nose+dry eyes+brainfreeze. and tonight..my feet size has grown from a 6 1/2 to a 9. its wrapped up with 5 pairs of socks and looking fat.having shrek feet. my mum says if we wear that amount of socks in m'sia our feet will lose more weight than anywhere else with the sweat we produce. haha. how deep.

these layers of clothes arent helping I'm in need of a long warm HUG.

Here comes the freaky reptile!
It was hilarious, we got back with all the groceries, putting it down and heading to our rooms when sook shouted out loud,scared the shit out of me i tell u. u know la the frequency and the amplitude in our level with just the 2 of us...reminds me of physics!

sook: MEI! there's a huge lizard!
mei: WHERE?
(sook scatters in her room and slammed the door)
mei: SOOK..OMG its so big
sook: thats y im hiding in here
mei: NO..you coming out?
sook: no if i dont have to, it'll run in my room
mei: not even to help me sort the groceries?..or brush ur teeth? HEH.
sook: no seriously..if it gets in my room, i'll be screaming
mei: but my door's open..i cant pass the lizard to close it,
sook: mei just walk and close it..i cant close it for u coz if i do that the lizard's gonna crawl in my room
mei: SOOK COME OUTTTT..please? or maybe just talk to me right now,show ur face..
(sook's face appeared at the gap at the door)
mei:it's gonna jump on me or what if the tail drops on my head when i walk pass?

so i decided to go up and call aunt violet's help instead.
she sprayed it once and it ran in MY room.. :S if it dies in my room its gonna haunt me.
the lizard got drowsy,packed it in a bag n threw it out.
there were alot of screamings mostly by me. thanks to aunt violet,she's the man. =)

My most fearful rodent is the lizard..had a few bad incidents that made me have this cicakphobia.
once was the genting trip with ame,sook,andrew,chunhean,myc n jo..we were all bunking in the same room when myc n i slept on the floor, i woke up the next morning finding a lizard tail right next to my face. disgustinggggg.
and it happen twice when i go down in the midnight to get something to eat, when i was pulling the fridge handle the fruit compartment where i used both my hands and the lizard ran right across my hands.
and another was when i was putting on my rollerblades happily i felt something crawled out on my leg and off. ulghhhhh.

i prefer cockroaches so much better than lizards!

It's been awhile since i updated my blog. Hmm last wednesday sook,sara n i went to aunty sandy's for sauna+dinner. she's from penang n currently studying here too. She cooks Bellisimo food i tell ya. We helped her prepare some of the dishes, had caesar salad, fried tong fun, potato n leek soup and Sambal Belacan to go with the noodles. YES, we proabably killed the neighbours when we roasted the belacan.

Seeing all the pics in jo's,myc's n mj's blog is making me jealous, whats this volley there volley happening when we're miles away. I wanna watch it with you guys too =( And JO, sook n i will prepare n train n fly back in time for the pyramid volley tourney thing OKAY? :D
The best we can get from volley here is playing in our backyard. that is..so rusty. ball flying here n there. haha.

sook n i just went for a jog, even with jogging you can get brain freeze coz of the weather.

There isn't enough space to fit 'Shop' in. It's not that we aren't stocking up on our WinterWarmies..knits..boots.. we are...haha. well hurray for sooks, at last she decided on what color on her purchase of ankle boots. RED. it's in. Colours are in! :) I on the other hand got myself a pair of black ankle boots. we're yet to Merasmikan the boots in this cold weather.

Sook and i barely see each other everyday, except for classes and the nights. When she goes to work, i'll go to work before she comes home and when i come home, it'll be the end of the day. We even have to actually plan our days ahead to fit our time's for the malls. you know la we last min ppl :D

My hands are turning into rough housewife's hands after all the kitchen work, ohyeah i need advice from Gracey a.k.a. Bree of s.m.a.g.c.s. for ever smooth hands. :)

Our recent test on Meat is finally done with. Next stop. Hot n Cold Desserts. Yum.

Room's a mess. can't get my butt up to tidy it up.

Funny weather here, sometimes its super cold sometimes its bearable.

I'm feeling empty. I know it's a wonderful but i can't feel it right now.

And the pic of the cooked ones! We crumbed and pan fried it, each of us had to take 1 whole brain, the right and the left. This classmate of ours was screaming when another classmate took the brain and touch her hand with it. lol. It didn't have a weird taste,tasted alright, just the thought of having brains in your mouth aint pretty.. :S

We had a side of lamb came in that day, a demonstration was given by the chef, we had to learn the cuts and all and we have a test next week on all kinds of cuts, beef,lamb and pork..even complicating when some of the terms are diffrent for the 3diff animals. tenderloins..striploins..silverside..topside..etcetc

Uhuh, i spend last night without my bud sook. I MISSED her so so much.haha. She just got back from her cousin's just not long ago, catching up a lil, saying that we both wanna go SHOPPING :) heels,boots,bags,knitwear you name it.
Work was SO tiring today, had to do so many salads for tmr since its Mothers Day, its gonna super busy. i used the largest handmixer which is super heavy to mix the pasta cream sauce ,even gives you back aches:S save me tmr! Happy mothers day mummy! <3 u!
